Haarp Husks on LP
Due to unforeseeen events which occurred late in the summer of 2005, members of disbanded projects came together to form Haarp. Embodying the murk, decay, and oppression associated with the New Orleans area, Haarp's music is a visceral wall of low end sound, its lyrics a journey through despair, hatred, self-loathing, and aggression. Its members are veterans of the New Orleans grindcore, punk and metal scenes.
Husks, the band's sophomore release on Housecore, was recorded at the University of New Orleans Performing Arts Center, Fountainbleau Room 7011, and Nodferatu's Lair by DOWN/ex-Pantera frontman and Housecore owner Philip H. Anselmo, engineered by Steve Berrigan and Nathan Weidenhaft and mastered at Visceral Sounds by Scott Hull.
"Haarp's new album Husks is a grinding, crushing listen that breaks new ground, thus creating its own genre within extreme music. A bombastic slap in the face!" - Philip H. Anselmo
