Prestige Stereo Reissue Series from Analogue Productions!
Cut from the Original Analog Master Tapes by Kevin Gray & Pressed on 200g Vinyl at Quality Record Pressings!

At the time of this 1961 recording date, Jimmy Forrest
, the St. Louis-born reedman, was already a veteran of the Fate Marable, Jay McShann, Andy Kirk, and Duke Ellington bands while later in his career starring with Count Basie. Here he leads a quartet that features Austrian pianist Joe Zawinul
, bassist Tommy Potter
and drummer Clarence Johnston
on a straight ahead 8-song set that includes two of his own originals in "Bolo Blues" and "Crash Program" and is rounded out gracefully by a handful of melodic standards.
