J.J. Cale Collected on Limited Edition Import 180g 3LP
Featuring 49 of Cult Legend J.J. Cale's Finest!
The American cult legend J.J. Cale forged an inspired career that spanned four decades, all in his trademark laidback country-rock style. He received his first major exposure in 1970 thanks to Eric Clapton, who turned his song "After Midnight" into a hit overnight.
A few years later lightning struck again as Clapton had the same result with Cale's "Cocaine." The list goes on with bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd ("They Call Me The Breeze,") and Widespread Panic ("Travelin Light," "Ride Me High") among others bringing further fanfare to Cale's indelible songs.
But the legacy of the esteemed singer/songwriter has much more to offer as Collected, the ultimate J.J. Cale retrospective, clearly attests. Assembled on three audiophile grade 180g LPs, this must have collection features 49 of Cale's best songs including the aforementioned tracks and classic rootsy Americana fare like "Magnolia," "Cajun Moon," "Hey Baby," "I'll Make Love to You Anytime" and "Money Talks."
Collected has already proven to be a highlight of the Music On Vinyl catalog so they're revisiting the essential compilation in a slightly slimmer package: without printed innersleeves, and with a 4-page booklet instead of the 8 pages of liner note material previously included.
