Judy Collins Golden Voice Of Folk on 180g Import 2LP
Includes Collins' First Two Albums A Maid of Constant Sorrow & Golden Apples of the Sun!
Judy Collins' voice is remarkably beautiful and her phrasing and range place her in a category all by herself. The award-winning singer-songwriter is esteemed for her imaginative interpretations of traditional and contemporary folk standards and her own poetically poignant original compositions. In 1961, she released her masterful debut, A Maid of Constant Sorrow, which featured interpretative works of social poets of the time such as Bob Dylan, Phil Ochs, and Tom Paxton. This was followed by the equally as compelling work Golden Apples of the Sun in 1962. These two landmark releases began a wonderfully fertile 35 year creative relationship with Jac Holzman and Elektra Records. Vinyl Passion's Golden Voice Of Folk collects Collins' first two albums and presents them together as one 180-gram 2LP-set.
