Lightnin' Hopkins Walkin' This Road By Myself on Import LP

Sam 'Lightnin' Hopkins was and still is one of the most under-appreciated bluesmen of all time. This 1962 Bluesville release contains a treasure trove of songs recorded in 1961 by the legendary musician. Fans of real blues guitar playing will not be disappointed with this collection delivered with Hopkins' trademark guitar licks and vocal stylings. Includes the track, "Happy Blues For John Glenn," inspired by Lt. John Glenn's historic space flight on the Friendship 7, "Coffee Blues" which documents an argument between Lightnin's parents, and the title track "Walkin This Road By Myself" which speaks of a night when a pounding heart caused him to sit straight up in my bed.
