Mayo Thompson Corky's Debt To His Father on LP + 7"
Leader of The Red Krayola!
This classic recording from the LP era is back on vinyl courtesy of Drag City. In 1970, Mayo Thompson (once-and-future leader of The Red Krayola) recorded Corky's Debt To His Father, an austere song-cycle addressing youth, sexuality and human morays in an utterly unique fashion. Walt Andrus' Texas Revolution label released the record but just barely, selling a few hundred LPs with no promotion to speak of. This new pressing comes complete with an accompanying 7-inch single featuring the instrumental "Woof" which was recorded at the same sessions but not released until a Red Krayola compilation in 2004.
