Secondhand Rapture is the 2013 Columbia Records debut album from the NYC-based, indie-pop duo MS MR. Lizzy Plapinger (MS) and Max Hershenow (MR) began their musical collaboration in December of 2010, recording in secrecy, at Hershenow's home studio in Brooklyn, New York over the course of 2011. Produced by Hershenow, with additional production and mix by Tom Elmhirst, Secondhand Rapture is comprised of 12 tracks and includes the band's debut single "Hurricane," the first of three additional tracks ("Bones", "Dark Doo Wop" and "Ash Tree Lane") released off of the band's critically acclaimed debut EP Candy Bar Creep Show.
"MS MR are undoubtedly off to a promising start. Based around some strong singles, a handful of massive pop hooks and vocals with Florence Welch heroics, Secondhand Rapture will surely garner the group some well-deserved attention." - Ryan Brun, Trebelzine
"MS MR’s full-length debut Secondhand Rapture features a rich, consistent and at times addicting sound that reveals the band’s tremendous potential across twelve tracks." - Jeff Demars, Glide Magazine
