Paul Revere and the Raiders were at their hit-making peak when they released 1966's Midnight Ride, which offers a massive dose of the band's tough, infectious trademark punk-pop sound. Highlights include the immortal AM classic "Kicks" and the garage-rock standard "Louie, Go Home," alongside such lesser-known but equally notable winners as "Little Girl in the Fourth Row," "There's Always Tomorrow" and "Ballad of A Useless Man." Also featured is the Raiders' original version of "I'm Not Your Stepping Stone," which predated the Monkees' hit version and is considered by many to be the greatest existing take of the song. In addition to being one of the Raiders' best-loved albums, it's also their most democratic, with all five members making songwriting contributions. Colored 180g vinyl pressing from Friday Music.
