Pearl Jam Given To Fly / Pilate / Leatherman on 7" Vinyl
One of Five Singles Being Reissued in Correlation with No Code & Yield's Long Last Repressings!
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of 1996's No Code and a new chapter in Pearl Jam's history, Legacy Recordings will reissue both it and 1998 follow-up Yield on vinyl. This is the first time both highly sought after albums have been available on the format since their original release – pressings that now command triple-digit prices on the secondary market – and the first time the albums are being mastered specifically for vinyl, by Grammy Award-winning engineer Bob Ludwig.
On 1998's Yield, Pearl Jam and Brendan O'Brien teamed up once again for a spirited session marked by the breakthrough of band members (guitarists Mike McCready and Stone Gossard, bassist Jeff Ament and drummer Jack Irons) bringing in finished songs for Eddie Vedder to add his signature lyrics to. With a more accessible mainstream rock sound and a full-scale tour (and replacing Irons with Soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron, the band's drummer to this day), Yield became the band's fifth straight album to be certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Additionally, all five original singles from the No Code/Yield albums will also be released separately on 7" vinyl. The two singles from Yield include: "Given To Fly" b/w "Pilate" and "Leatherman"; and "Wishlist" b/w "U" and "Brain of J (Live)."
