Pearl Jam Off He Goes / Dead Man on 7" Vinyl
One of Five Singles Being Reissued in Correlation with No Code & Yield's Long Last Repressings!
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of 1996's No Code and a new chapter in Pearl Jam's history, Legacy Recordings will reissue both it and 1998 follow-up Yield on vinyl. This is the first time both highly sought after albums have been available on the format since their original release – pressings that now command triple-digit prices on the secondary market – and the first time the albums are being mastered specifically for vinyl, by Grammy Award-winning engineer Bob Ludwig.
The 1996 sessions for No Code featured longtime producer Brendan O'Brien (his third consecutive collaboration with the band) and drummer Jack Irons, who'd joined Pearl Jam at the end of the Vitalogy sessions. They explored new approaches to writing and recording, developing songs out of jam sessions and eschewing their stadium-rock style for self-examining ballads, garage rock and even psychedelic sounds. No Code became the band's third consecutive No. 1 album, with lead single "Who You Are" topping Billboard's Modern Rock chart.
Additionally, all five original singles from the No Code/Yield albums will also be released separately on 7" vinyl. The three singles from No Code include: "Who You Are" b/w "Habit,"; "Hail, Hail" b/w "Black, Red, Yellow"; and "Off He Goes" b/w "Dead Man."
