Peter And The Test Tube Babies Loud Blaring Punk Rock on LP
A mainstay of English punk since 1978, Peter And The Test Tube Babies have written some of the best punk songs you've probably never heard of like "Banned From The Pubs," "Intensive Care" and "Run Like Hell." In the early 1980s they stood out from the punk pack with their hazardous tales of being young hellraisers in Brighton, all emblazoned with their signature wisecracking humor and tongue-in-cheek lyrics.
Essentially an 18 track collection of early demos, the aptly titled Loud Blaring Punk Rock hit No. 2 on the Indie Charts when first released in late 1984. Singer Peter Bywaters explains: "All the songs on this album were recorded in 1979 and constitute two days heavy drinking, they were never meant to be anything else but demos, this is not the band's follow up to 'The Mating Sounds Of South American Frogs', more like the album that should have preceded 'Pissed & Proud'. Well that's what it says on the sleeve and of course it is...a right load of bollocks!"
