R.L. Burnside Too Bad Jim on LP + Download
From his classic hill country blues to his album and tour with the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, R.L. Burnside went from Mississippi Delta juke joint blues legend to indie-rock hero and became a catalyst for making the blues relevant to a new generation along the way. Produced by Robert Palmer, 1994's Too Bad Jim falls in the former camp and is a greasy 10-track effort that finds Burnside fronting a small combo which wonderfully frames his powerhouse vocals and barebones guitar work to great effect.
