Previously Unreleased Single Mix Finally Issued After Almost 50 Years!
Originally planned as a single in 1968, the mono mix of Steve Marriott's "The Autumn Stone" was never released due to Immediate label boss Andrew Loog Oldham's dislike of the song (the title of which he later used for the final Small Faces album). In preparing the definitive expanded remaster of The Autumn Stone album, a tape was discovered containing the unissued mono single mix. Coupled with "Me You And Us Too," an early version of "Wham Bam Thank You Mam" (the original intended b-side) the single is limited to 3,000 copies worldwide. Pressed on "autumn gold" vinyl under the unused original Immediate catalogue number, IM083, the single is packaged in a full color picture sleeve and label that reproduce Gered Mankowitz's original artwork and photos.
