The Script Science And Faith on 180g LP + Download
Irish pop-rock band The Script followed-up the huge worldwide success of their eponymous 2008 debut album and its multiple hit singles, including "Breakeven," with their sophomore effort, Science & Faith (2010). Written and produced by frontman, Danny O'Donoghue, and guitarist Mark Sheehan, Science & Faith was recorded in both London and Dublin and is another testament to what The Script does best...pen emotion-packed songs that contain fluid melodies, haunting hooks and Danny's soulful vocals riding high over huge, anthemic choruses.
The poignant and album anchoring lead single entitled, "For The First Time" resonated with people around the world. "People are being stripped of everything, stripped of their jobs and their homes and their furniture due to the downward spiral of the economy, so it's going back to an old thing of drinking cheap bottles of wine, having dinner on the floor, nothing but candlelight, and it's like they are meeting each other for the first time," explains O'Donoghue. "It's getting back to reality; you are standing naked in front of this person. That notion really resonated with us and set the tone for what we want to talk about, emotionally."
