It's Good to Be King: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' The Complete Studio Albums Volume 2 (1994-2014) Cut from the Original Analog Tapes by Chris Bellman and Includes Wildflowers
Documenting 1994's extraordinary Wildflowers through 2014's smash Hypnotic Eye, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' The Complete Studio Albums (1994-2014) 180g 12LP vinyl box set finally places the acclaimed rock musician's colossally influential studio records back on analog. Several of these albums have been out of print on vinyl for years and each album has been remastered for this release and cut from the original analog tapes by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Studios except Mojo and Hypnotic Eye. This is an essential release for any fan of classic and contemporary rock n' roll played with heart, passion, and soul.
The Complete Studio Albums Volume 2 (1994-2014) contains seven albums across 12 slabs of vinyl beginning with Petty's first release for Warner Bros. Records, 1994's brilliant Wildflowers (featuring the Grammy-winning single "You Don't Know How It Feels") and concluding with his most recent album, 2014's Hypnotic Eye, which entered the Billboard album chart at No. 1. Additional albums include: She's The One (1996), Echo (1999), The Last DJ (2002), Highway Companion (2006) and Mojo (2010). Mojo and Hypnotic Eye have been remastered since 2010.
"While the original releases of Wildflowers, Echo, and The Last DJ were mastered for vinyl from digital sources, for the 2016 box set release, they assembled the original analog masters for the first time, and mastered vinyl from that. According to Bellman, ‘the sound quality is especially better on these albums.’”
