Triptykon Eparistera Daimones on Colored 2LP
Call To Confirm Colored Copies Are Still Available
Created to further develop the darkness invoked by its immediate precursors, seminal black/extreme metal pioneers Hellhammer and Celtic Frost, Triptykon evolved from a Celtic Frost side project initiated by Tom Gabriel Fischer (aka Tom Gabriel Warrior), the group's singer, guitarist, and main songwriter. Both music and lyrics reveal a group immersed in themes such as history, occultism, human disintegration, religious fanaticism, and nihilism.
Songs on their 2010 debut Eparistera Daimones such as "Abyss Within My Soul", "A Thousand Lies", and, particularly, "The Prolonging" bear witness to wastelands of eternal night. The transcending and mergence of seemingly distinct forms of imagination, a hallmark long prominent in Celtic Frost's efforts, is naturally also abundant within Triptykon's sphere of inspiration.
Remarkably, Eparistera Daimones also features epic artwork by renowned Swiss artist H.R. Giger and New York-based surrealist Vincent Castiglia. In an exceptionally rare gesture, Giger granted Triptykon the use of his dramatic painting Vlad Tepes (1978). It was the artist's first authorized appearance on an album cover in 17 years, and the second time he collaborated with Warrior (following Celtic Frost's To Mega Therion album in 1985).
