In 1980, Tuxedomoon created a sensation with their masterpiece debut album Half-Mute, which immediately established them as one of the leading avant-garde pop bands. Released on The Residents' label Ralph Records, Half-Mute remains a classic to this day, with its drum machines, minimalistic instrumentation (mostly voice, organ, sax and bass) and strong atmospheres. Alongside 1981 follow-up Desire, Half Mute was largely responsible for establishing the band's worldwide cult status. It contains such memorable songs as "59 to 1," "Seeding the Clouds," "What Use" and inimitanle instrumental tracks "Tritone," "Nazca" and "Volo Vivace." Remastered and pressed on 180 gram vinyl.
