Classic 1975 Album Remastered by Rob Santos!
Remastered by Rob Santos, Waylon Jennings classic 1975 album Dreaming My Dreams is being reissued on vinyl in 2016 courtesy of Fat Possum Records. The revered album was co-produced with the great Jack Clement and recorded at Glaser Sound Studio in Nashville, TN between February and July 1974. It finds the music legend in a sentimental mood paying respects to his musical heroes, opening with "Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way" and closing with "Bob Wills Is Still the King."
Home to the Top 10 singles including the aforementioned opener "Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way" and "Dreaming My Dreams With You," Dreaming My Dreams topped the Billboard's Top Country albums chart and peaked at #49 on the Billboard chart. It became Jennings' first album to be certified gold by the RIAA and he was elected Male Vocalist of the Year by the Country Music Association in 1975.
Comparing his studio recordings with his impassioned live performances, Tony Glover of Rolling Stone said Jennings' work in the studio "seems to aim more for the midnight mind" while Billboard praised Jennings' blend of country music with other genres calling Dreaming My Dreams a "solid mix of ballads and rockers, some straight country and lots that cannot be classified." Allmusic gave the album five stars, calling it, "[Jennings'] best album since Honky Tonk Heroes, and one of the few of his prime outlaw period to deliver from beginning to end."
