Former One Direction star Zayn has topped charts on both sides of the Atlantic with his solo debut album Mind of Mine. Released via RCA Records, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart, distinguishing Zayn as the first male U.K. solo artist to do so with their first album. Zayn also makes history as the first male U.K. solo artist to debut at No. 1 with their first album on both the U.S. Billboard Top 200 chart and the Official U.K. Albums chart, and he is the first U.K. act, solo or otherwise, to debut at No. 1 on both the U.S. and U.K. charts since 2009.
Home to the trio of successful singles "Pillowtalk," "Like I Would" and "Wrong," and featuring production from Levi Lennox, Malay, MYKL, Alan Sampson and XYZ, Mind of Mine has also received rave reviews from the press, with USA Today calling the album a "catchy, sexy, and fully modern take on contemporary R&B." Rolling Stone declares that Zayne's "range and vocals shine from the clipped phrasing of ‘She' to the booming falsetto belt on ‘Befour," and SPIN proclaims "Sonically, you won't find many pop albums in 2016 more immaculately conceived than this."
