Keef. Few names generate more respect among classic rock fans than the nickname for Keith Richards. Being a songwriter and guitarist for the World's Greatest Rock & Roll Band has occupied much of Richards' life for the past 60 years, but he also has built a superb solo discography, with gutsy albums like Talk Is Cheap and Crosseyed Heart. The man certainly knows how to tell a story, whether on the stage or on the page, as evidenced by his best-selling memoir, Life. All hail Keef.
Backed by his dynamite band The X-Pensive Winos, Keith Richards unleashed his acclaimed second solo album, Main Offender, in 1992. Now remastered, it is available on black or colored vinyl. The deluxe box set is a bountiful 3LP + 2CD package, featuring the previously unreleased Winos Live in London '92, plus an 88-page book and a treasure trove of memorabilia. The Winos' drummer is producer Steve Jordan, who took the hallowed seat behind the drum kit for the Rolling Stones' 2021 tour.
