There is not a country in the world that doesn't know the names of Boy George and Culture Club. One of the biggest acts of the '80s, the Grammy Award winners sold in excess of 100 million singles and over 50 million albums in that decade alone. They achieved a staggering seven straight Top 10 hits in the UK and nine Top 10 singles in the US. Culture Club's smash 1982 debut Kissing To Be Clever officially put the band on the world's stage and turned flamboyant frontman Boy George into a star. The soulful pop outing incorporated elements of pop, rock, new wave, dance and Caribbean rhythms while sprouting several international hits including "Do You Really Want To Hurt Me" which hit No. 1 in several countries and resonates to this day with its universal theme of heartache plus "Time (Clock of the Heart)" and "I'll Tumble 4 Ya." They were the first group since The Beatles to have three Top Ten hits from a debut album.
