2000's Somewhere to Elsewhere is the final studio album from prog-rock legends Kansas to feature longtime vocalist Steve Walsh before his departure and the final album to feature iconic violinist Robby Steinhardt before his passing in 2021. Widely hailed as a return to form, this album harkens back to the band's 1970s heday! The band creates dynamic progressive rock here that indeed takes the listener elsewhere, back to the multi-platinum strings and strains of "Carry On My Wayward Son" and "Dust In The Wind," and forward to the front edge of creative music-making that this collective has produced since 1970.
