Malcolm McLaren's 1994 Studio Album Paris on 2LP. On Vinyl for the First Time!

Malcolm McLaren’s album “Paris” was released in 1994, thirty years ago, on Vogue French label, produced by Robin Millar (Sade, The Style Council, Everything But The Girl.)

“Paris” is a travel thought the city as seen by McLaren:  haunted by jazz music reminiscences, beating heart of Haute Couture fashion, home of Erick Satie, Françoise Hardy (lead vocalist on one track,) Serge Gainsbourg (“Paris” includes a surprising cover of “Je t’aime..Moi non plus,”) crossroad of cultures from northern to western Africa. The title track “Paris Paris” features French superstar Catherine Deneuve as co-vocalist with McLaren.

This album has never been available digitally nor on vinyl until June 14th this year, a few weeks before the opening of the Paris Olympic Games on July 26th.

Malcolm McLaren - New York Dolls and Sex Pistols’ manager, writer, musician, fashion designer with former partner Vivienne Westwood - marked the history of pop culture.

Before he died at 64 in 2010, he released many albums, produced various artists such as Bow Wow Wow, wrote screenplays, directed videoclips, films and more.
