The spawn of actors Jack Black and Kyle Gass, Tenacious D combine grandiose Rock and Roll cliche with hell-bent-for-leather comic passion to create a stew that motivates their legions of fans to caravan cross-country to see their over-the-top live performances.
The duo first came to prominance as 'The D' in their self-titled HBO show in the late-90s, the Grammy nominated duo have now released three full length albums on Epic (2001's Tenacious D, 2006's The Pick of Destiny, and 2012's Rize of the Fenix), earning them fans from all over the world.
Originally produced by hit making production duo the Dust Brothers, and featuring Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl on both guitar and drums, this 12th Anniversary Edition of their debut is being released with the full cooperation of JB & KG to help kick off their Old School Acoustic Style North American tour starting in March of 2013!
