Get Beastly Performance from Demanding Headphones: iFi iDSD Diablo 2 DAC Supports Native DSD512 and 768kHz PCM, Pairs with xMEMS-Powered Devices, and Features Three Power Modes Along with Bluetooth 5.4 and Two Outputs
The devil is in the details when it comes to the iFi iDSD Diablo 2 DAC. Designed to push your headphones to their limits, Diablo 2 delivers up to 5,180mW from its balanced output. In addition to full MQA, it supports native DSD512 and 768kHz PCM. Relying on silicon-based manufacturing that allows for super-fast transient response and low distortion, its xMEMS (microelectromechanical system) drivers perform with exceptional precision and consistency. They’re a huge reason why Diablo 2 can extract the finest details and nuances, all the while operating with seamless synergy with xMEMS-powered ‘phones.
Compatible with the latest Bluetooth 5.4 codecs, including aptX Lossless, Diablo 2 touts PureWave fully balanced dual-mono circuitry, Servoless DirectDrive, OptimaLoop, and advanced jitter reduction features that deliver detailed, emotional, refined sound to your ears and soul. Two headphone outputs (4.4mm balanced, 6.3mm unbalanced), a Qualcomm QCC518x chipset, and an LED light further account for this pint-sized device’s prowess and appeal. Ditto the inclusion of an iTraveller case, USB-C cable, and iPower 2 power supply — all handy accessories that come standard.
Equipped with an NOS button that turns it into a real beast, the one-pound Diablo provides three power modes — normal for IEMs, Turbo for mid-sensitivity headphones, Nitro for the most demanding ‘phones — and boasts a 19.2V maximum output. You’ll also find a switch that activates iFi’s iEMatch functionality for high-sensitivity headphones. It removes background noise and increases the usable volume range. On the front panel, a lock switch adjacent to the volume control helps prevent accidental adjustments. On the left side of the back panel, you can mode selection and Bluetooth pairing, and on the right, two USB-C ports streamline cable management between audio and charging.
Though technology plays a big role in Diablo 2, so, too, does the unique external architecture. Diablo 2 comes with four wings that can be positioned horizontally to make it a desktop device — or arranged vertically to save space. Additionally, 22 rails translate to enhanced cooling performance. Eight of those can be used in tandem with the wings for desktop-stand use.
