Meet the Pass Labs Integrated Amplifier Designed for Smaller Spaces and Efficient Speakers: U.S.A.-Made INT-25 Outputs 25Wpc of Pure Class A Sound and Exceptionally Refined Performance
Live in small-ish space, and crave a lower-power albeit high-quality integrated amplifier to help reproduce music with scintillating liveliness, presence, and speed? The 49-pound Pass Labs INT-25 is such a jewel.
Featuring an output stage comprised of a single pair of 800-watt new-generation transistors operating in push-pull Class A, INT-25 mirrors the design of the company's XA25 power amplifier. If you have a pair of efficient speakers, or perhaps a pair of electrostatics or something that thrives on low power, INT-25 provides extraordinary levels of delicacy and transparency. You’ll get low distortion, no degeneration feedback, and high damping with only three push-pull gain stages.
And if you don’t play music incredibly loud, INT-25 serves up a major portion of the refinement that Pass Labs’ top-end XS components deliver. Three pairs of RCA inputs and a single set of speaker outputs keeps the cost and the footprint down. And because the massive power supply inside allows the INT-25 to double its power output into four (and even two) ohms, you’ll be amazed at just how much dynamic heft provided by this amplifier. Noise is virtually eliminated, which speaks the language of those who love high-efficiency speakers.
On INT-25, the volume control circuit is a slightly simplified version of the one on XS Pre and the actual preamplifier section derived from the INT-60 and INT-250. The 6 x 17 x 17.375-inch (HWD) INT-25 has a slightly slimmer front panel than the big Pass components, and there’s no blue meter. But the rest is pure Pass, through and through. Right down to the remote.
Unlike most high-end audio gear, each INT-25 is custom-built to exacting specs on a an order-by-order basis in the company’s California facility. The wait time of eight to 10 weeks is well worth it.

"The remarkably heavy INT-25 is essentially a Pass XA25 power amp—class-A push-pull without degenerative feedback and offering 25Wpc—wedded to a minimalist line-level preamp."
