Gorillaz's innovative fourth album, The Fall was originally released in December 2010 as a surprise gift for paying fan club members and as an official release the following April. It was recorded on the North American leg of the Escape to Plastic Beach World Tour by Damon Albarn on an iPad who called the experimental, low-key affair "a kind of diary of my experience in America." Featuring The Clash's Mick Jones and Paul Simonon plus Bobby Womack, The Fall deals in themes of identity and the monotony of travel and ultimately serves as an eclectic yet compelling tale about the heart of America. This is the first time the album has been released on vinyl in North America.
