Jackie McLean Jackie's Pal Reissued for Analogue Productions' Prestige Mono Series: 180g LP Mastered by Kevin Gray from the Original Mono Master Tapes

In the case of this 1956 Prestige release, Jackie's Pal is none other than trumpeter Bill Hardman who McLean champions justifiably here after the pair left the Charles Mingus workshop and before they both joined Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers. The excellent date finds the jazz greats in a quintet rounded out by Mal Walldron (piano), Paul Chambers (bass) and Philly Joe Jones (drums).

Released in conjunction with Analogue Productions' Prestige Mono Series, this 180g vinyl pressing by Quality Record Pressings has a flat edge profile and deep groove label, true to the original LP and is housed in a deluxe high-gloss tip-on album jacket.

Musicians:
Jackie McLean (alto saxophone)

Paul Chambers (bass)
Philly Joe Jones (drums)
