K.D. Lang is that rare performer who has matured before our very ears. The Western Canada native launched her career with a blend of country-rock stylings and playfully punk-like attitude, by turns whimsical and subversive. She practically put the alternative in alt-country. But from the very beginning, her bravura singing belied her kitschy cowgirl outfits and spiky hair. Remastered in 2020 and pressed here on vinyl LP, Lang's third album All You Can Eat (1995) was produced with long-time collaborator/guitarist Ben Mink and is awash in rich musical textures combined with sensitive and considerate vocals. The album is considered to be more experimental in nature than her previous work built on the daring production work of Mink. All You Can Eat received widespread critical acclaim, entering the Top 10 album charts in the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, with the album going silver in the UK, platinum in Australia and Gold in the US.
