2021 Remaster Pressed on Standard Black Vinyl LP

1992 labor of love Main Offender served as the second solo studio album by Keith Richards. Featuring the standout tracks "Wicked As It Seems" (No. 3 US Mainstream Rock) and "Eileen" (No. 17 US Mainstream Rock), the Rolling Stones founder teamed with Talk Is Cheap collaborator Steve Jordan and added Waddy Wachtel to the mix both in composing and producing Main Offender. Sessions with Richards' group of musician friends known as "The X-Pensive Winos" took place in California and New York City from March to September 1992, with touring in Europe's autumn and early 1993 in North America.

"'Where "Talk Is Cheap' was almost a retrospective of sounds - from Chuck Berry-style boogie and James Brown funk to smooth, Memphis soul and Mr. Richards's own brand of riff-happy rock - 'Main Offender' is honed, concentrated and more cohesive," wrote the New York Times..."The album has its share of all-out guitar jams, especially the leadoff track, "999," a celebratory exercise in the riff-based groove. But throughout, Mr. Richards subordinates melody to rhythm, which manages to make "Main Offender" less commercial than its solo predecessor..."

2021 remaster available here on standard black vinyl LP.
