Full Details

Philadelphia-born guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel is best known for his multiple recordings on the Verve label. His 1998 LP Intuit marked his second album as a leader and the only one he recorded for the Criss Cross label. A quartet session devoted entirely to standards, it reveals the depth of the guitarist's expertise in the bop idiom. He is backed by pianist Michael Kanan, bassist Joe Martin, and drummer Tim Pleasant. Available here on 180g vinyl 2LP.
