Nico Desertshore

Nico's 1970 Solo Album Desertshore on LP. The Audio Has Been Remastered from the Original Tapes.

Nico’s third solo release Desertshore, like much of Nico’s early work, has grown in stature with the passing of time. Hardly a pop album, the material stands alongside Chelsea Girl as some of her most accessible work, winning fans as diverse as Throbbing Gristle, Morrissey, Marc Almond, and Björk. The album was co-produced by her Velvet Underground band mate John Cale. The audio for this reissue has been remastered from the original tapes. Also included are previously unreleased photos of Nico by Guy Webster. The New Yorker recently hailed the album as “austere miracles of will and invention.”
