Meet 20 year old rapper, producer, singer and songwriter Jordan Terrell Carter aka Playboi Carti. While Playboi first started rapping in 2011 (when he went by the name $ir Cartier), his first big hit didn't arrive until 2015 when he released "Broke Boi" on Soundcloud. In April 2017, the world was finally graced with Playboi's self-titled debut mixtape, which features the hit singles "Magnolia" and "Wokeuplikethis" and includes appearances by Lil Uzi Vert, A$AP Rocky and Leven Kali. On his vibey sound, Playboi says it is "lazy but confident," gathering inspiration from artists such as Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, A$AP Rocky and Wiz Khalifa. Playboi Carti was featured on Rolling Stone's "10 Artists You Need To Know" and XXL Mag's "2017 Freshman Class."
