All Directions includes one of the Temptations’ signature songs, “Papa Was A Rolling Stone,” which won three Grammys in 1973 for Best R&B Performance by a Group, Best R&B Instrumental Performance and Best R&B Song. The album, produced by Motown’s psychedelic mastermind Norman Whitfield, topped the Billboard R&B Albums chart and reached #2 on the Billboard 200, making it the group’s most successful, non-collaborative release.
