Following the 2003 independent breakout of Ember to Inferno, Trivium arrived as metal's hungriest contender on 2005's Ascendancy. Heralded as "Album of the Year" by Kerrang!, it stands out as a 21st century genre landmark. Now eight records into their career, the Orlando, FL outfit has led a resurgence for the metal and trash world - combining classic technicality and speed as melody - staying true to the style of legends like Iron Maiden and Megadeth while infusing a modern sense of melody and energy. Trivium closes out 2018 with colored double vinyl reissues of four of their early Roadrunner Records albums - Ascendancy (2005), The Crusade (2006), Shogun (2008) and In Waves (2011) - for the first time since their original releases.
