Willie Nelson's Shotgun Willie Reissued for Its 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition on 2LP. Includes a Bonus LP of Alternate Versions and Outtakes from the Album Sessions.
The album that was a game changer for Willie Nelson and country music! Arguably the first outlaw country album. Willie left Nashville and the Nashville Sound foisted on him by his longtime label, RCA, and moved to Austin where he developed a more organic sound to his liking fusing jazz, rock and soul elements with country. When Jerry Wexler heard Willie's new material, he signed him as the first country artist on Atlantic Records. In additional to the original album, this release features a second LP of alternate versions and outtakes from the album sessions, making their first appearance on LP here.
