Compact, Classy, and Cool: HiFi Rose RS451 Network Streamer/Headphone Amplifier Touts Dual DACs, Native DSD512 Capability, Superb Connectivity, and Flagship-Quality Architecture

Size matters. Especially when real estate is limited — or, you want something within arm’s reach as the hub of a go-to desktop system. The HiFi Rose RS451 compact network streamer/headphone amplifier is expressly designed to suit these circumstances. Bolstered with the flagship-level architecture that grace the company’s full-size units, RS451 offers balanced performance, extraordinary fidelity, smooth resolution, and comprehensive connectivity to make your life easy — and ears extremely happy.

Stocked with dual SABRE ESS ES9027PRO DACs (one for the pre-out section, one for the headphones section) and an eight-core RK3588 CPU, RS451 delivers PCM-to-DSD upsampling up to DSD512, extremely low-jitter USB playback, and format capability up to native DSD512 and 768kHz PCM. A trademarked Rose DPC encompasses femto clock sync, I2S alignment, and jitter reduction. The similarly trademarked Rose NRA helps account for the ruler-flat frequency response and supremely low noise floor. RS451 also touts 8GB of RAM and a 32GB eMMC. You won’t worry about content limitations. It supports libraries that contain more than one-million tracks. So feel free to amass as much music as you want.

Able to comfortably drive headphones up to 600 ohms with precise impedance matching, RS451 includes three outputs — 4.4mm balanced, 6.35mm unbalanced, and XLR balanced — to accommodate different ‘phone preferences and models. Indeed, when it comes to hooking up, RS451 is a player. An HDMI eARC input abets a coaxial input/output, USB 2.0 input, and trigger in/out. Bluetooth 5.4 is standard — inviting you to wirelessly play aptX to your heart’s content. And in a nice old-school touch, RS451 comes with an IR remote for easy control.

Housed in a svelte aluminum chassis complete with an engraved Rose emblem, RS451 further shines with an 8.8-inch LCD touchscreen with visible audio interface. Exceptional measured specs — a dynamic range of 124dB, a THD+N rating of -114dB — provide additional prowess of its audiophile character and class.
