John Lennon Rock 'N' Roll
Full Details
John Lennon's 1975 Album Rock 'N' Roll on SHM-CD. Super High Material Format Featuring More Clarity, Depth and Definition of Sound. Remastered in 2010. Includes Booklet With Japanese Translations of the Lyrics.
Rock ‘N’ Roll has one of the strangest backstories in music folklore. From its unpromising origins in a legal morass and months of drunken time wasting, John rescued this sparkling tribute to the bygone era that he adored. Its tracks were all covers from the ‘50s and ‘60s, hardly the mass anthems or scarred confessionals Lennon was known for. Yet Rock ‘N’ Roll was both revealing and delightful. Tracks such as, “Be-Bop-a Lula,” “Ain’t That a Shame,” and “Peggy Sue,” resurrected the leather-clad, greasy-quiffed Liverpool teenager who still lived inside John Lennon’s head.
Using the 2010 remaster, this Super High Material CD offers more clarity, depth and definition of sound. Included is the 2010-edition booklet and white booklet with Japanese translations of the lyrics.
