John Lennon, Yoko Ono Milk and Honey
Full Details
John Lennon, Yoko Ono's 1984 Album Milk and Honey on SHM-CD. Super High Material Format Featuring More Clarity, Depth and Definition of Sound. Remastered in 2010. Includes a Booklet With Japanese Translations of the Lyrics.
Its cover artwork suggests a sequel to Double Fantasy – their respective photographs of John and Yoko look separated by mere moments, as indeed they were. Yet, for us, the albums are divided by the widest gulf we could possibly imagine – the death of John, which occurred in between. Maybe for this reason, Milk and Honey has always seemed like an orphan among his recordings. It was the first posthumous release of unheard material, appearing in 1984, some three years after his death. Like Double Fantasy, the record is structured as a “heart play,” or dialogue, of his songs and Yoko’s – including “Nobody Told Me,” “Borrowed Time,” and “I’m Stepping Out.”
Using the 2010 remaster, this Super High Material CD offers more clarity, depth and definition of sound. Included is the 2010-edition booklet, inner bag and white booklet with Japanese translations of the lyrics.
