Uncover the Profound Depth, Nuanced Detail, and Grand-Scale Dynamics in Your Music with a Flagship Power Amplifier: Japanese-Made Luxman M-10X Drives Any Speaker Load
How much depth, detail, and dynamics really exist on your favorite albums? The Luxman M-10X power amplifier invites you to find out. Winner of multiple audio awards from around the globe, and a finalist for the prestigious Stereophile Product of the Year, M-10X features the company’s cutting-edge LIFES amplification feedback engine, instantaneous maximum output of 1,200W, and truly overwhelming power linearity. Graced with low-impedance signal transmission, low resistance, and large-capacity speaker relays with four contacts connected in parallel, it drives any speaker load with accuracy, authority, and aplomb. Designed to draw out the true characteristics of your speaker system, the ultra-stable M-10X plays with remarkable naturalism, emotionalism, richness, purity, and realism. Simply put, M-10X will do more than breathe new life into your favorite music — it will make it come alive.
Measuring 8.8 x 17.3 x 19.2 inches and operating with nearly unmeasurable distortion, M-10X current amplification stage boasts an amplification stage with a 4x2 output configuration that combines two three-stage Darlington circuits and quadruple paralleled push-pull amplifier circuits that handle various load conditions. The breathtaking result instantaneously develops up to 1,200W+1,200W (one ohm) from a rated output of 150W+150W (eight ohms). M-10X offers complete power linearity up to 1,200W (1Ω). And, with pure Class A operation up to 12W with careful bias current setting, it achieves both overwhelming power and sound quality with a sense of density at a high level.
Built to perfectionist degrees, every aspect of M-10X — including the four l/r independent 20,000uF filter capacitors — reflects its status as a flagship high-end component. In addition to custom capacitors and resistors, the robust power supply section supports the overwhelming power and drivability of M-10X. The flat copper transformer winding is tightly wound to conserve space, thereby reducing line capacitance and improving the coupling force and stabilizing the magnetic field. Relatedly, the EI-type highly regulated power transformer has a massive 1,250VA (instantaneous maximum 2,500VA) capacity and tremendous regulation performance that does not waver with load fluctuations. Evert audio circuit board has 100μm-thick, low-resistance, gold-plated, peel-coat tracing that eliminates dielectric effects. Non-angled circuit board tracing keeps the pattern width of the signal line constant and draws a smooth curve to realize stress-free signal transmission.
Suffice it to say M-10X looks the part. Bold albeit delicate slanted edges between the chassis and front panel give it a formidable presence, while the prominent analog VU meters — illuminated by LED lighting — visually convey the dynamics of what you’re experiencing. The 106-pound M-10X gets structural support from large density, gradient cast-iron feet that protect delicate music signals from unnecessary vibration by quickly releasing the vibration generated inside. In addition, the metal housing benefits from a loop-less chassis that will not generate a ground loop and isolates the effects of generated magnetic fields.
On the rear panel, the inputs come with premium RCA terminals made from a copper alloy which has the same conductivity as copper and the hardness of brass. The AC inlet’s structure easily supports the weight of heavy cables and, by reversing the mounting orientation from conventional mounting, suppresses the movement of the power cable and maintains an iron-fisted grip. Drool-worthy measured specs — 117dB signal-to-noise ratio, total harmonic distortion of 0.003 percent or less (1kHz/eight ohms) — and a three-year manufacturer warranty add to the reasons why M-10X belongs in your setup.
