Bolstered by huge, twin, in-house-manufactured 2200VA toroidal transformers in individual epoxy-filled enclosures that eliminate noise and vibration, S5 effortlessly provides 500Wpc into eight ohms and more than 800Wpc into four ohms. A wall of four patented bulk storage capacitors totaling 188,000uF transmits staggering bass energy all the while maintaining authoritative control, focus, and grip to 32 high-current output transistors. The result? Hear-it-to-believe-it accuracy of musical timing, rhythm, and dynamics even when S5 gets driven hard. 

Measuring 9.375 x 19 x 18.25 inches (HWD) and weighing 132.1 pounds, S5 shares much in common with its monoblock sibling, M8. That extends to slow-speed fans that vent through the back panel as well as cooling tunnels that dissipate any concerns about heat. Two sets of dual five-way Michi-designed rhodium-plated binding posts that welcome bi-wiring, IP and RS232 for control-system integration, and both XLR and RCA inputs complete the clean layout on the rear.
