Full Details
Save $2,300 and Get More Energy, Dimensionality, Accuracy, Scale, and Dynamics from Your Music: Value-Addled Package Features Shunyata Research Eiger-X Power Distributor, Alpha-X XC Cable, and SSF-38 Footers for Transformative Sound Improvements
Eliminate noise pollution, tap into exceptional current delivery, and enjoy the profound enjoyment that comes when you hear your favorite music free of distortion, grit, and compression with the Shunyata Research Eiger-X power distributor. Incorporating key technologies from the company's flagship Everest-X into a compact and accessible footprint, Eiger-X enhances practically every aspect of musical playback: soundstaging, clarity, focus, imaging, balance, naturalism, detail, solidity, and separation included. Operating without hum, buzz, or heat, Eiger-X delivers more than 50dB of input-to-output noise reduction. And as part of this value-addled package that represents a collective $2,300 in savings, it comes with the Alpha-X XC power cable to connect it to the wall and a set of four SSF-38 stainless-steel footers for extra vibration control.
Rated at 20A continuous to ensure uncompromised power delivery, and featuring six outlets and three independent zones of isolation, Eiger-X adds trademarked TAPc technology to reduce EMI-related distortions that obscure low-level detail, spatial information, and nuance. Another upgrade from the original model: Ground Plane Noise Reduction (GPNR) technology, which reduces noise across the system ground plane. Two rear-panel ground posts allow connected components to benefit from Eiger-X’s internal grounding network.
Also on board: An expanded QR/BB module. It delivers instantaneous, on-demand electrical charge to dynamic-draw electronics, resulting in reference-level spatial and three-dimensional imaging qualities. Trademarked DTCD (dynamic transient current delivery) covers every outlet and handles demanding amplifiers and sensitive source gear with the same prowess. And working in concert with heavy 8- and 10-gauge ArNi VTX wiring, a cutting-edge hydraulic electromagnetic breaker — which operates without the limitations of fuses and thermal breakers — helps maximize dynamic contrast and low-frequency punch.
Treated with four days of proprietary KPIP v2 (Kinetic Phase Inversion Process) and filled with cryogenically treated electrical components, Eiger-X also uses medical-grade CCI v4 filters reduce component-generated power-line noise and contamination without inhibiting DTCD. They team with NIC (Noise Isolation Chambers), another patented Shunyata device that reduces high-frequency power-line noise. Eiger-X doesn’t stop there: Its AC outlet gaskets and chassis dampeners employ an in-house-developed vibration isolation method that uses sub-miniature accelerometers that accurately measure the effects of floor- and air-borne sound waves.
Housed in a powder-coated steel chassis with vibration-dampening panels and stabilized on polymer isolation footers, the 16.7 x 6.2 x 9.1-inch (HWD) tower solves the problem of cable droop and inferior connections via its robust Cable Cradle support. Designed to be easily placed next to an audio rack without taking up much space, the 12.7-pound Eiger-X will change how you listen. Shunyata supports this next-level product with a limited lifetime manufacturer warranty. We invite you to arrange a risk-free in-home audition so you can experience what it will do for your music in your own room.

Alpha-X XC Power Cable
The profound ability of the Alpha-X XC power cable to eliminate electrical noise and reduce micro-distortions unveils multiple layers of previously obscured musical cues within the recording – forging a more immersive and lifelike connection to your favorite music. Alpha-X XC imbues the music with a greater sense of timing accuracy, dynamic contrast, and dimensional impact. It imparts an unmistakable sense of living presence and coherence to reproduced sound and imagery. The immediate signature is apparent as an ineffable sense of quiet within the sound, along with an almost paradoxically startling punctuation of dynamic contrasts. Alpha-X XC features TAPc technology, Gen-2 NR technology, Gen-3 NR circuitry, and CopperCONN connectors.
SSF-38 Footers
Milled from high-grade stainless steel and an energy-absorbing polymer isolator, SSF-38 (stainless-steel feet) give quick and substantial performance boosts to all Shunyata power conditioners and distributors. Easy to use and a substitute for having to place your conditioner on a dedicated stand, SSF-38 replace the standard isolation feet and provide enhancements in isolation and vibration control. You can also use them in tandem to provide effective isolation under components such as amplifiers, disc spinners, and more. The precision-machined SSF-38 include a complementary set of dampening pads.
The Results You'll Hear from Eiger-X
Eiger-X reduces multiple forms of power-line noise, bringing a tactile presence to sound that adds a physically interactive element to the listening experience. When using Eiger-X as the power source, there is an immediate and profound increase in background silence as instruments and voice emerge as more fully formed entities, free of distortions that will otherwise homogenize recordings. There is an immersive depth to the sound field as complex layers of sound become more organized, more distinct and accessible to the listener. Both the recorded width and depth of recordings unfold and expand once fine layers of distortion are removed from the power line. The improved pitch articulation of instruments should also become more notable as the timing, or coming and going of transient energy, becomes more accurate, more precise. This will be especially notable in the lower octaves, where air movement and impact of instruments are the easiest to notice. Overall, Eiger-X imparts a more seamless, coherent picture of how sound should be, without the inherent power-line and component-generated noise that can otherwise become part of the audio signal.
