The CarbonAlloy cone, capped with pure carbon fiber, sharpens attack and smooths decay, letting notes fade naturally into silence. Redesigned suspension allows greater travel, easily handling the amplifier’s added power. Optional AirShip Direct wireless capability along with the ability to stack with other S/550s in a Line Array further boost the profile of this British-made stunner.

For systems where High Level isn’t possible, a low-level input uses the same analog filter circuit, available via both RCA and XLR connections.

Visually, S/550 looks the part with no less than eight coats of piano lacquer for aesthetics that have no rival in the industry. Horizontal strakes are carved into the side walls; elegant elliptical returns that cradle handles are finished in a warm golden-silver, echoing raw titanium.
