Cohesive Integration from the Platter to the Provided Cartridge to Your LPs: Audio-Technica AT-LP7X Fully Manual Belt-Drive Turntable Also Features Built-In MM/MC Phono Preamplifier and J-Shaped Tonearm with VTA

Leave it to the analog experts at Audio-Technica to come up with an ingenious solution to any potential musical coherency and consistency issues by designing a fully manual turntable, the AT-LP7X, around an acclaimed cartridge line: Audio-Technica's VM95 series. The approach ensures cohesive performance and bespoke integration between all the components. As such, the belt-driven AT-LP7X plays vinyl LPs with outstanding levels of separation, imaging, and responsiveness while proving a reliable tracker capable of deeply and accurately digging into records' grooves.

Outfitted with an AT-VM95E dual moving-magnet cartridge with a 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical stylus bonded to a AT-LT10 removable headshell, AT-LP7X also features a J-shaped aluminum tonearm with a dual-axis gimbal, precision ball bearings, VTA, and 16g counterweight to lend accuracy at all times as well as flexibility when mounting other cartridges. An adjustable anti-skate control comes standard, as does the ability to adjust the tonearm height to accommodate a wide variety of cartridges. Indeed, the supplied AT-VM95E can be easily replaced with most of the other styli in the VM95 line – giving you an easy upgrade path without having to invest in a new cartridge.

In line with Audio-Technica's proud analog tradition, the 17-pound AT-LP7X focuses on involving sonics. A 40mm-thick MDF chassis dampens vibrations and limits low-frequency feedback. And the 20mm-thick anti-resonance acrylic platter gets driven by a sensor-monitored motor that offers continuously accurate rotation at both 33 1/3 and 45RPM speeds. The motor is itself mounted on vibration-dampening rubber bushings that decouple it from the plinth, minimizing the transmission of mechanical noise and oscillations. An external switching power supply isolates the AC-to-DC conversion to prevent it from adding electrical interference, and spring-based, height-adjustable isolation feet offer more protection against external noise.

Want even more value? A built-in MM/MC phono preamplifier means you don't need to buy an external phonostage until you're ready to seriously upgrade. Just hook AT-LP7X up to an amplifier or receiver, and get ready to enjoy the distinctive sound of vinyl.

Last but not least, Audio-Technica shares your passion for your high-end investment by providing a protective dust cover with the ‘table. When you consider our 100% Music Direct Guarantee accompanies the purchase of this overachieving rig, it's hard to find one reason not to take the plunge.

Highlights

  • Fully manual, belt-drive operation with two speeds: 33-1/3 and 45 RPM
  • Heavy 40 mm MDF (medium density fiberboard) cabinet construction reduces resonance and vibration for clearer sound
  • Motor features a speed-sensor system to maintain accurate platter rotation speed
  • 20 mm-thick, high-density acrylic platter offers high rotational inertia to spin records at a consistent speed (no platter mat required)
  • J-shaped tonearm with adjustable VTA (vertical tracking angle)
  • AT-VM95E BK (black) cartridge (0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical stylus) pre-mounted to the lightweight AT-LT10 removable headshell
  • AT-VM95 cartridge is compatible with most VM95 Series replacement styli, offering a wide choice of options for every budget and application
  • Included 16 g subcounterweight provides an expanded cartridge/headshell weight range of 14.0 – 23.5 g
  • A larger 32 g subcounterweight is available separately to enable the use of cartridge/headshell combinations up to 28.5 g
  • Adjustable anti-skate control to counter the inward force the styli experiences during playback
  • Built-in switchable phono pre-amplifier with selectable modes for MM (moving magnet) or MC (moving coil) cartridges
  • Includes dual RCA (male) to dual RCA (male) stereo cable with ground, 45 RPM adapter, and removable hinged dust cover
