Boost Your System's Clarity, Focus, Soundstaging, and Dynamics with IsoAcoustics GAIA Neo: Height-Adjustable Speaker Isolators Replace Factory-Installed Feet and Work Sonic Wonders
How do you improve a series of speaker isolators that won awards across the globe and drew rave after rave from thousands of satisfied listeners? IsoAcoustics answers that question with GAIA Neo Series, featuring increased isolation effectiveness, seamless height adjustment, hassle-free installation, and sleeker looks.
One of the easiest ways to dramatically boost your system's clarity, focus, soundstaging, and openness – and significantly raise the performance of your floor-standing speakers and subwoofers – Neo Series is designed to replace the factory-installed feet or spikes on your speakers. Tuned and optimized for three specified weight ranges and offered in two color schemes, GAIA Neo features a patented design to provide an extremely high degree of speaker isolation and decouple the speaker from the floor surface.
Working as a team, the isolators simultaneously resist lateral movement and oscillations while maintaining alignment with the listening position. By attenuating secondary internal reflections from hard support surfaces such as floors, GAIA Neo prevents smearing and soundstage collapse – and effectively enhances transparency, dimensionality, naturalism, and dynamics.
Able to be raised or lowered by up to 0.34 inches simply by rotating or lowering the ring — a process that does not impact on-axis alignment — GAIA Neo Series is quite painless to install, especially since they now come with floor sliders. (Please see step-by-step instructions below.) In short, the top of the isolator housing sits flush against the bottom of your speaker while an integrated o-ring compresses to ensure a secure fit. And because GAIA Neo has a bottom isolator that can pivot to maintain full contact with your floor, the isolators even maintain stable contact on uneven floors — and offer full, rocking-free performance.
To get started, just select which GAIA model (see specs below, then select from our drop-down menu) you require based on your speakers' weight. Seriously incredible sonic improvements await.
GAIA I Neo measures 2.0 inches high and 3.0 inches wide, and is capable of supporting speakers and subwoofers up to 220 pounds. Sold in sets of four with alternative thread sizes (M12, M8, and ¼-20) to fit most speakers in this weight range.
GAIA II Neo measures 2.0 inches high and 2.6 inches wide, and is capable of supporting speakers and subwoofers up to 121 pounds. Sold in sets of four with alternative thread sizes (M6, M8, and ¼-20) to fit most speakers in this weight range.
GAIA III Neo measures 1.8 inches high and 2.2 inches wide, and is capable of supporting speakers and subwoofers up to 70 pounds. Sold in sets of four with alternative thread sizes (M6, M8, and ¼-20) to fit most speakers in this weight range.
Step-By-Step Installation Instructions
A. Install the threaded adapter. Choose the correct threaded adapter for your speaker or component and thread it into the bottom of the speaker or component.
B. Attach the GAIA Neo isolators. Screw each GAIA Neo isolator onto the installed adapter until the O-ring compresses and the isolator sits firmly against the bottom of the speaker. Align the IsoAcoustics logo to face forward, in line with the front of the speaker. (Note: An optional compression washer is included and recommended when the O-ring has limited contact with the speaker base or outrigger.)
C. Prepare the floor sliders. Place the included floor sliders under each GAIA Neo isolator. On solid floors, apply the adhesive felt pads to the bottom of the sliders.
On carpeted floors, use the sliders without felt pads.
D. Position your speaker. Carefully slide your speaker into position using the floor sliders.
E. Level and adjust. Rotate the lower ring on each GAIA Neo to fine-tune the height. This allows you to level your speaker, adjust the focus, and ensure even weight distribution across the isolators.
F. Listen and fine-tune placement. After initial setup, listen to the system and make any needed adjustments to your speaker’s position or isolator height. Once you are satisfied, tilt your speaker one side at a time to remove the floor sliders.
Why GAIA Neo Is Superior to Other Isolation Feet
With some isolation feet, the metal housing rests directly on the floor, creating a rigid path for vibrations to travel regardless of what is inside. GAIA Neo is different. Only the lower isolator makes contact with the surface, so vibrations are not transmitted through the housing. This design provides a controlled path for energy to dissipate, resulting in greater clarity, openness, and focus.
How Is Isolation Improved in GAIA Neo Compared to the Original GAIA Series
GAIA Neo builds on the same patented isolation design as the original GAIA Series, and incorporates refined internal isolators with adjustments to shape, thickness, and durometer. These changes are the result of continued R&D and performance testing. These enhancements deliver improvements in clarity, focus, and low-frequency definition, while the original GAIA models continue to offer excellent performance.
