As I Lay Dying’s Shadows Are Security is the San Diego, CA band’s third studio album. The album was originally released on June 14, 2005, and was produced by lead vocalist Tim Lambesis, guitarist Phil Sgrosso and Steve Russell. It is the band’s first album to feature new members Nick Hipa and Phil Sgrosso, who would appear on all of the band’s following releases until their hiatus in 2014. It is also the band’s first album to chart on the Billboard 200, debuting (and peaking) at #35 July 2, 2005 and spending nine weeks on the chart.
