Chopin Piano Sonatas Nos. 2 & 3: Marc-Andre Hamelin on 180g LP

Ecstatic reviews greeted Marc-Andre Hamelin's first (and thus far only) all-Chopin album, uniting and surprising critics across the world as poetry combined with Hamelin's superhuman virtuosity. The Sunday Times noted: "Hamelin, a poet among virtuosos, brings sensibility and a brilliant technique in equal measure to this oft-recorded music. Spellbinding." The New York Times pointed to "an astonishing lyrical gift that increasingly comes to light," when Hamelin plays Chopin. Included are two mainstays of the Romantic repertoire: Chopin's Piano Sonatas Nos 2 and 3, alongside a musical aperitif in the form of the Berceuse, Op 57. Available on 180g vinyl.
