Full Details
Duncan Sheik & Steven Sater Spring Awakening: 20th Anniversary Edition on 2LP: Original Cast Recording Available on Vinyl for the First Time. Mastered by Ryan K. Smith at Sterling Sound. Includes Two Bonus Tracks.
In honor of its 20th anniversary, the original cast recording of Spring Awakening is available on vinyl for the very first time. A groundbreaking fusion of morality, sexuality, and rock & roll, Spring Awakening electrified audiences like no other musical in years, winning eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical and launching the careers of stars Lea Michele and Jonathan Groff.
Produced in collaboration with the show's creators Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik, this definitive Twentieth Anniversary Edition pairs the original cast album (newly mastered for vinyl by Ryan K. Smith at Sterling Sound,) with two unheard archival recordings long sought after by fans: "All Begin to Call," a 2000 duet between Lea Michele and the late Gavin Creel, and "As Shadows Do," featuring Lauren Prichard.
Also included is a deluxe 24-page booklet featuring rare photos, essays, lyrics, and an all-new oral history with the original cast and creative team. Pressed on standard black vinyl 2LP.
