1977 was a great year for rock music and for the Ian Gillan Band, as their landmark album Scarabus became one of the greater releases from the classic rock and progressive rock era.

For their third album, Ian Gillan and his mates Ray Fenwick, Colin Towns, John Gustafson and Mark Nauseef ventured into new territory with a spirited set of 10 new originals that would soon become rock radio and rock fan favorites.

Tracks like "Mercury High," "Apathy," "Fool's Mate" and the classic title track would become staples for the band, as their creative forces hit a new level with this fine release.
