Kathy Smith's 1971 Studio Album 2 on 180g LP: Includes Two Previously Unreleased Bonus Tracks.

Kathy Smith's 2 (1971) stands as the most daring and accomplished work of enigmatic singer-songwriter Kathy Smith. Emerging from the same Orange County, California scene as Tim Buckley and Jackson Browne, she recorded two hauntingly beautiful albums for Richie Havens’ Stormy Forest label before vanishing from the spotlight. This deluxe 180-gram gatefold reissue restores her visionary fusion of psychedelic folk and jazz.

The album features Kathy’s exquisite compositions such as “Fly Off With The Wind” and “For Emile”, alongside unique interpretations including Jackson Browne’s “It’s Taking So Long”. Backed by an extraordinary lineup including Jan Hammer, Warren Bernhardt, Tony Levin, Don Alias, and Jeremy Steig, the result is a rich and timeless soundscape. This reissue also presents two previously unreleased bonus tracks, making it an essential rediscovery for fans of Linda Perhacs, Judee Sill, and Tim Buckley.
